is to ensure efficient & complete usage of the system. To gain maximum competitive
advantage from the Galileo products, it is imperative that you are kept up to date
with the latest features & product offerings.
To address this need, Galileo has designed various training programs, each program
has its own set of objectives & pre-requisites.
Basic Central Reservation System Course (3 days)
The objective of this course is to provide the users with the basic information
of the Galileo Reservation System.
The attendees are expected to have a minimum of 6 months experience in the travel
industry & possess basic travel knowledge.
In addition to the basic mandatory booking fields (PRINT), the course will also
cover other areas in the daily operation of a travel consultant, such as Timetable
function, minimum connecting time, Mileage Membership, SSR, OSI, queue handling,
split of booking file, resell function, entries & logics of Fare Display, Fare Quote,
Fare Rules & Fare Notes.
Upon completion of the course, the attendees will be able to efficiently access
the Galileo system, interpret the information provided & create complex itineraries
using the correct booking practices.
Document Production Course (3 days)
The objective of the course is to enable the users to produce travel documents via
the Galileo system, to maintain stock & to perform trouble shooting procedures on
document issuance.
The attendants are expected to possess the skills in creation of basic booking files
and completed the 3 day Galileo Basic Central Reservation System Course.
The course would also include the setup of the TINS table prior to ticket issuance,
steps for ticket issuance, different methods to obtain, create and modify filed
fares, and the steps to restore a ticketed filed fare. The course would also include
practice on ticket exchange, information and practice on electronic ticketing and
Automated Refunds.
Upon completion of the course, the attendees will be able to competently manage
ticket stocks, efficiently issue various types of tickets & effectively follow fallback
& recovery procedures.
Galileo Roommaster Course (1 day)
The objective of the course is to enable the users to create hotel bookings by following
the correct procedures and to interpret the information provided.
The attendants are expected to possess the skills in creation of basic booking files
and completed the 3 day Galileo Basic Central Reservation System Course.
The course would include the introduction of various links to the vendors, obtaining
lists of hotel properties at various reference points & the correct procedures to
be followed for creation of hotel bookings. The course would also include the steps
to access negotiated rates & validate policies & rates prior to selling.
Upon completion of the course the attendees will be able to access & interpret hotel
chain & property information, find the most appropriate hotel property & create
hotel bookings on Galileo following the appropriate procedures.
Galileo Carmaster Course (1 day)
The objective of the course is to enable the users to create car bookings by following
the correct procedures and to interpret the information provided.
The attendants are expected to possess the skills in creation of basic booking files
and completed the 3 day Galileo Basic Central Reservation System Course.
The course would include the introduction of various links to the vendors, obtaining
the most suitable product with the use of qualifiers & the correct procedures to
be followed for creation of car bookings with & without corporate discount number.
Upon completion of the course the attendees will be able to access & interpret car
vendor information, find the most suitable car product required & create car bookings
on Galileo following the appropriate procedures.
Galileo Client File Plus / Travel Screen Course (2 days)
The objective of the course is to enable the users to effectively create customer
profiles on the Galileo system thus enabling efficient client servicing.
The attendants are expected to possess the skills in creation of basic booking files
including basic reservation of hotels & cars.
The course would include the creation, modification, moving & deleting Client Files
& basic functionality of TravelScreen.
Upon completion of the course the attendees will be able to efficiently create,
modify, move & delete Client Files in addition to creation & usage of TravelScreen
preference details.
